CONCRETE PAD (Best Method)

Pour a reinforced level concrete pad 100 mm thick that is at minimum the circumference of the tank. Place the tank on the slab in the desired position.

1. Fit The Uniseal into the hole provided in the tank.

2. Preheat lubricant satchel (supplied) in a cup of hot water for 30sc then smear a liberal amount of the lubricant all over one end of the joiner also around the Uniseal.

3. Push the tanks together carefully lining the taper up with the seal opening, as the fitting is tight you will require a helper to push on the other end of the tank otherwise you will push both tanks away without joining.

The overflow should be piped well clear of the tank to ensure undermining of the tank pad does not take place. Under no circumstances should any pipe be supported on the tank. A minimum of 30Omm of flexible hose should be installed after the outlet valve to absorb any shock or movement. Water should be directed into tank through the strainer.

Important: Water capacity of the inlet must equal water capacity of the overflow e.g., 1 x 90 mm inlet = I x 90mm overflow.

CRUSHER DUST, BEDDING SAND, ETC

Box up a sand, crusher dust or deco pad that is min 75 mm (3") thick and at least 100 mm larger than the circumference of the tank. Be sure to remove any rocks, stones or any sharp objects which may damage the tank. We recommend the use of heavy plastic under your tank to help prevent "washout". Place the tank on the pad and secure in case of high winds, before filling occurs. If you are installing multiples of tanks using the Tiger Tank (Patented) joining kit you must place the tanks on planks, etc, to enable the tanks to be pushed together without damaging the base site.

1. Fit The Uniseal into the hole provided in the tank.

2.Preheat lubricant satchel (supplied) in a cup of hot water for 30sc then smear a liberal amount of the lubricant all over one end of the joiner and also around the Uniseal.

Under no circumstances should any pipe be supported on the tank. A minimum 300mm of flexible hose should be installed after the outlet valve to absorb any shock or movement.

Important: Water capacity of the inlet must equal water capacity of the overflow e.g., 1 x 90mm inlet = I x 90mm overflow.

WOODEN/STEEL STAND

If using a stand, make sure the structure IS STRONG ENOUGH TO CARRY THE WEIGHT OF YOUR TANK WHEN FULL. e.g.: one litre of water weighs I kilogram. The top of the stand should be at minimum the circumference of the tank with the slats no further apart than 25mm. The overflow should be piped well clear of the tank stand. Water should be directed into tank through the strainer. Under no circumstances should any pipe be supported on the tank. A minimum 300mm of flexible hose should be installed after the outlet valve to absorb any shock or movement.

Important: Water capacity of the inlet must equal water capacity of the overflow e.g., 1 x 90 mm inlet = 1 x 90mm overflow.

 Remember

  • Level

Tank should be placed on a level concrete slab on a firm base of sand or fine gravel firmly compacted.
  • Solid

A solid timber base may also be used but must withstand rot.
  • Base

The water tank base should be at minimum the tank diameter  however a 100 mm wider base is recommended.
  • Removable

If renting a property a timber  or patio block base is easily moved.
  • Joined

Tanks joined together with our unique (patented) method can be from 20 mm to 200 mm apart.
